Delta Dental Coverage Availability & Fees
Your decision to enroll in a Delta Dental policy means you understand the importance of preventive care. Keeping your smile looking and feeling its best year-round requires staying on top of your regular visits and ensuring you practice good oral habits at home.
Although every plan is different, many of the benefits are quite similar, which means that no matter which Delta Dental policy you choose, you can expect to receive excellent care. There are three potential policies to choose from:
- Delta Dental PPO™
- Delta Dental Premier®
- DeltaCare®USA
While a PPO and Premier plan will allow you to see any licensed dentist of your choosing, it is best if you see a professional who is considered “in-network.” Why? Because this will help you to save the most money. Dr. Olga is an in-network provider with Delta Dental, meaning she has pre-negotiated fees and services. The amount your insurer will pay is based on a set percentage, which might look like the following:
- 100% preventive services
- 70-80% minor restorative services
- 50-70% major restorative services
If you have a DeltaCare plan, you will be required to choose a dentist from a specific network and be responsible for a co-payment each time you visit.
No matter which one you choose, your plan will likely provide benefits for a single calendar year. Once January 1 arrives, any unused money provided by your insurance company will be returned, and your deductible will reset to $0. Your annual maximum will also reset, so if you find that at any point throughout the calendar year that you are nearing your yearly maximum, our team may be able to spread out your treatment across calendar years to help you avoid additional out-of-pocket expenses.
